Over the past days, I have been doing a self appraisal, being critical on
my self. Socrates, one of the greatest scholars and philosophers coined a
term "man know thy self", It sure does help.
We should be our best critic and adviser. Who are we? What is our reason for existence? What's our contribution to humanity? What would we be remembered for? Are we living or existing? How many of us have made long term plans? How successful are our plans, is it going as planned? How many of us have really thought about death? One day we will be no more. How many people will genuinely miss us? I know talking about death sends shivers down most of our spines. Not talking about it doesn't make it not happen. What kind of parent/brother/sister, friend will we be remembered as?
All of us will want better for our wards and children than we got. Are we willing to pay "that" price?
With my proverbial "thinking hat, I pondered over a lot of things. As we are past half of the year, for those that made New year resolutions, howfa market?
As this new week starts, we start with a new slate. Its never too late to start anew. I choose to start afresh NOW, TODAY. I chose to face my fears, fight my battles, sing in my victories and cry/rise in defeats, BUT, I won't give up. I won't lay down and play dead, as long as I have breath, and HOPE, I won't quit, will YOU?
Do have a lovely week ahead.
