Why the cold feet?

Hello my abled Pamscribers, how are you all doing this beautiful Monday morning, and how was your weekend? Glory be to God for life so far.

Today is supposed to be our feature for face of the week but no pictures came in. Please and please, you guys shouldn't be shy, send in your pictures to grace this blog, else I'll start hand picking you guys myself. Lolz.

Anyways, my question is for the engaged, married or anyone who has an idea on what I'm about to ask. Kindly explain to us what cold feet really is? Is it normal to surface when the wedding day is getting near? Why should you even have it when you love the person and can't wait to become "one" with him/her? Does it happen to everyone?

Well, I'm trying to talk sense into someone having doubts concerning her up-coming wedding, and I need a backup. According to her, she's with the right person, so I wonder why the cold feet.
So what is your take on this issue? Let's talk.

  1. Well I think it just anxiety and fear of the unknow. Fear in the sense that things may not go as planned,
Lack of courage to face the crowd and most importantly fear of life after wedding,
One begin to think what his/her life would turn out to be, if the same man/woman you loved in ur courtship days will still love and cherish u like he/she use to.
Or they (ur spouse) will change to become sm1 else a total stranger or monster.
Some ladies are scared of the responsiblity of keeping a home and bearing children and also lossing their freedom and b answerable to one man.
While the guys are scared of taking up family responsibity
Some people are not ready for committment.
So when one things about things like this he/she is bound to get cold feet.
Marriage is for the matured and brave heart it not a kid glove.
There are many reasons out there, the rate at wich married woman cry wolves,(cheating neglet domestic and emotion abuse) in marraige is enough to scare the shit out of young girls who are yet to get married.
The men are not left out they also have their tale of woe to tell abt their wives.
Abeg pammy the mata too strong biko
May God give us the grace to venture into institution of no graduation, with wisdom patience tolerance love and trust.
    AMEN.

  8. The complete courage is what we can never have about marriage. But one thing is sure, that God will see her through the process. It might not be a cold feet in the real sense, it might just be the excitement been expressed in a wrong way. Every bride does it. No one is too sure of what the future holds in marriage but everyone prays for the best.
